Hey all

Joined this website for one question.

We recently got our first puppy and I have a couple questions about non reving with him if we need to take him somewhere.

Can a non rev take a pet on board if the carrier fits under the seat without paying that fee?

also

If need be can you simply check the carrier as regular baggage since you will be flying on the flight as well? As in not treating it or shipping it as cargo?

Can't answer if you don't specify which airline you plan to non-rev on. They all have different policies regarding non-rev, pet in cabin, baggage, etc.

Are you an employee of the airline you wish to non-rev on? I don't know about all airlines, but many don't charge their own employees to check bags when non-reving.

And whether you're non-revving on-line or not, you should be able to obtain a copy of the non-revenue travel agreements/requirements for the airline you'll be flying. Check that.

Delta employees do not have to pay if the dog is in the cabin, but if you it is checked, it is 175 each way.

List him as a service animal and you can probably get him thru. The dog would be a couple hundred bucks round tripin the cabin, and more expensive riding with the bags.

Or as I said, the dog is free in the cabin or 175 each way in the back for Delta employees.

What if i fly for one of the connection carriers??

Travelnet from what I decipher makes it sound like any employee flying under the delta pass benefits gets the dog up there for no charge.

I think it is odd I would need to pay for my dog to ride down below considering how dangerous it is for an animal down there.

I don't think it is different for DCI. I am just posting what travelnet says.
