But on the other hand, very few minors likely have the resources to sail across the Atlantic in a solar powered yacht, so there’s that.

As for her address, it wasn’t meant to have lots of details. It was a call to action. The overwhelming, legitimate, peer-reviewed science is well documented and distributed. Her address wasn’t directed to deniers, it was directed to leaders who can effect change, and to voters around the world who can do the same. It could have been done via video teleconference, but it was far more impactful in person.

As someone already mentioned here, those who don’t believe in climate change likely won’t change their minds, and any efforts to persuade them are wasted energy. Similar to the people who honestly believe the earth is flat or that astronauts didn’t land on the moon. They should simply be left alone.

However you look at it, she is a remarkable girl with more cajones than most people I know.
O Please, Yes the climate changes we all know that, where we differ is how much of the change is due to man made issues. I would hope we all want a clean environment now and in the future. The problem I have with the current climate hysterics are the radical changes to lifestyle and cost associated they are promoting. The hysterics claim such radical change is necessary because situation is so dire, it has to be done now or we are doomed and it's un reversible. Forget all the doomsday predictions from the past have been dismal failures. I am also sick of the do as I say not as I do mentality of the elites pushing this. They travel by private jet, yacht and have multiple extremely large mansions and yet lecture me on climate change.

This is like taxes if you want to pay more there is a line on the tax form for that and the government will take all you want to give! If you want to live in a mini home with only a solar array, composting toilet and drive a electric car or scooter go ahead no one is stopping you.

If you follow the money you will see this is about taxation, monetary redistribution and control.

So the plan is to deprive the non-rich of burning fossil fuels, and thus reduce green house gasses. That's literally not going to happen. The rich are not going to turn in their yachts, more likely, the entire US will look like Somalia.

Maybe I can get a job de-icing windmills.

Nope. Wasn’t convinced to begin with given the diversity of opinion. Good science tends to converge on a fact-based conclusion. Arm waving doesn’t count.

Default What Science?

Scientist never reach consensus on anything that isn't political. We are still arguing about The General Theory of Relativity over 100 years after it was postulated. Every experiment to day has passed. That doesn't mean that Relativity is true/correct. It just means our experiment wasn't precise enough to prove it wrong.

So the next time someone says consensus they are a politician, not a scientist.

So you’re saying that nothing is knowable?

No, everything written and spoken on RT is pure truth, unlike all the other lying media outlets, which I refuse to read because they lie.
