I understand the emotional resistance to acknowledging human activity as being a major driving force in global warming. At some point one must get past that, man up, and face reality.
So again, the US reduced Carbon emissions last year (thank you frackers). The rest of the world didn’t. Go tell the Chinese (preferably in person) to man up. We all like clean air and clean water, do you support tariffs on polluter counties like Mexico and China? If not man up.

China emits less than half and Mexico less than a third of the GHGs/person than the U.S.

To get the middle class on board with “drastic steps”, the rich and famous will also have to accept “a great deal of material hardship”, and purchasing carbon credits doesn’t qualify as hardship. It looks too much like a wealthy draft protester paying someone else to take his place.
The best that we can realistically expect is “modest steps”. Sorry, but that’s the truth and we all know it.

Pollution and CO2 are not the same. And you did not answer the question.

If you want to start a pollution gate thread have at it.

I was addressing your first quote. Again, the US emits more than twice as much GHG/person than China.

Nice edit. But I’ll play. Assuming you don’t count water vapor as a GHG. As much as you climate scientists don’t want to count it it is.

That's excluding bunker oil. The left allows China to exclude bunker oil, and F-gases from its emission inventory.

And where did you get that? Same place where you determined Trump didn't collude with the Russians?

Wow, no wonder you believe in man causing global warming.
