Mmmm guns... Love guns, have a few, but I'm sure there are several others who will put my small collection to shame.

The EDC is a Para Carry 9 LDA (9mm), BUG is a keltec PF9 (9mm). I have a sig p238 (mini 1911 in .380), xd 9 sub compact, kahr P45, baretta 92 (in .40), ruger LCP, Colt Mustang Pocketlite (.380), a High Point (9mm, 100% reliable, never been cleaned...), and a S&W M&P 15T.

Some of those are the old mans, but we kinda trade back and forth. Next addition is probably gonna be another xd, but the fullsize version (for range work), or maybe a glock 19, or maybe one of the Rock Island Armory 1911's (commander sized). I love them all, except the keltec... I hate the gun, but it serves a purpose. The M&P15T is a blast to shoot, I have the CMMG conversion kit for .22lr, so it doesn't make me wince to dump the mag!

I hope my tax return hurries up...

If you're interested in the AR, you may want to consider a Sig 556 rifle.. Sig is doing a $300 rebate right now for it:

The Sig 556 is a nice rifle but fairly expensive even with the rebate...plus I don't really care for the "tacticool" picatinny rails all over it.

For equal money, one could get a Bushmaster or Rock River AR...or use the Bud's Gun Shop pilot discount on a S&W M&P15 and spend the extra $$$ on P-Mags and ammo.

My Bushmaster in its current config.

I also have nearly 1000 rounds put away for it. I plan on adding a few more Pmags shortly. I love those things.

My current collection:

I'm pretty happy with what I've got but I just ordered a nice .22LR rifle for fun and small game. I suppose the next thing I'll get will be a longer barrel for my .12ga so I can use it for something other than keeping the black knight at bay.

I have one the, 556 Classic, it doesn't have rails all over it... just one on the top of the receiver. Personally I like the gas piston action, it has a folding, collapsing stock that feels a lot better than the typical AR telescopic stock. The trigger feels crisp (a little heavy, but smooth). It comes with a rear "emergency" flip up sight that is actually in the rail (so you mount stuff on top on it if you wanted. It's a quality rifle - the off the shelf price for it is $1419 - with the $300 rebate it's $1119 - which is not too far away from ARs with the same features (and half as much as a gas-piston AR).
