I think the Russians still call their ship names with Masculine reference...I call mine "dude" when all is well...And when "she" doesn't do what I expect, all sorts of nasty women references come from my mouth!...He he

I think that ships are feminine because it used to be that all Captains were men ( and MANLY men at that) and not the types to be stroking or fondling another masculine entity. And dont forget that they were in command over the ship, the same way they were in command of their women. My....how things have changed:D |
