Layover In A Motel 6 Near You

Hmmm, fancy upgrades. It's not your father's motel anymore.

I'm going to miss those floral bedspreads. ;)

Motel 6 is pretty cool. Cheap and basic.

You can also count on them welcoming you and your pet if you are a responsible pair.

They also publish a paper nationwide location guide which is handy to have in a Cub on long cross country flights. Especially handy when you get tired of sleeping on FBO couches and/or need a shower and some HBO and a six pack to make everything right with the world.

They tend to have motels in small towns where you'd tie your Cub with no electrical system or transponder down for the night.

There's also an Alaska connection there, although Tom Bodett now lives in Vermont.

A fun read.
