These type of things happen daily all around our galaxy. It is nothing special aside from the fact it was caught on camera, which is kind of cool I guess. There will be some meteor showers next week, about 10 an hour, which again, isn't all to impressive.

I remember when this one hit.
SPACE.com -- Yukon Meteor Flash Caught on Film

I was just waking up to go to school, and the sky completely lit up. A few seconds later the boom occured, which really got me out of bed.
