Another sad case...soldiers can't even do their job for fear of being thrown in jail!

Try some critical thinking about immigration law--then you'd be a racist.
Try some critical thinking about the expanding reach of the federal government--then you'd be a teabagger.
Try some critical thinking about climate science and you'd be compared to a holocaust denier or a flat earther.
I could go on but I'm sure you get the point without having to see the whole complement of insults available.

The problem here is that you actually believe you are doing any thinking at all, what you are doing is parroting some screed you got from who knows where.
No JAG experience, no military experience, just a rant against the very people that risk their lives to protect the weak and defenseless.
You want to retry those proven innocent, and pretend you are thinking.
Go live for a few years facing an upraised knife and a loaded gun. You aren't bsing your high school lunchroom buddies here.
Ill-informed blather isn't going to impress anyone here. It has the opposite effect.
Be proud of your label-you earned it!

Re: Navy SEAL Not Guilty of Abusing Iraqi!
What are you guys carping about? It looks like your "hero" beat the rap.
You wear your patriotism on your sleeve while throwing Petty Officer Demartino, the Master At Arms, under the bus. This is the guy who's former superior officer testified under oath "he was one of my best sailors - I could count on him for anything."
It appears Demartino got run over for doing his job while the Navy lightly sidesteps international embarrassment that smacks of Abu Ghraib.

If I pulled one of the SEAL's evals and could find a bullet where a superior called him an "outstanding sailor" or "top-notch" - would you then change your mind?
I'm sorry, but how exactly did PO Demartino get "run over"?
Was he on trial for anything? His testimony was heard, dutifully considered, and the jury decided something else.
We know as Jungle pointed out above that you are not a JAG, that you have never servied in the military (at least that you claim); now I'm wondering if you know how the law (especially military law) works in any way. Have you ever even had the pleasure of performing your civic duty and sat on a jury?
It seems that you are happy to sit at your computer and scream INJUSTICE - yet the laws were followed and the judicial system worked it's special brand of Black Magic and the accused was found not guilty.
Disagree with the verdict if you like, but don't start screaming CONSPIRACY!

What hacks me the most is that these SOGS were even made public and if the public knows than our enemies also know, guess it was a public relations move to what ends who knows .
In '79 an attempt was made to rescue American hostages unfortunately murphys law reared it's ugly head and turned that op into a Charlie Foxtrot ,would it have worked had things gone as planned ?
We'll never know but I think it would have .

EDIT: I did not close this thread, and don't know who did. I don't want to be accused of trying to get the last word in.
