We don't even make minimum age

Just gotta keep building them hours! Regionals aren't much better pay-wise, but atleast you don't have someone in the left seat trying to kill you each time around the pattern.
... not that instructing is a bad thing, just crappy pay- like any other job in aviation (unless you're management)

Future
You know your own motto is:
"Anything with a motor and wings, if it means I'll get paid."
Sometimes prophecies are self fulfilling.
Skyhigh
It never ends. First it is your flight school employer then the regional.

Life on the line every time
You know that's funny.
The guy in the left seat is like the bad guy that cops everyday hope that they won't meet that day. they wake up hoping that it will just be another day at the office. AKA- No brush with death.
But for us, everyday is just another day at the office, except that it is not normal. Everyday God is up there rolling the dice for us. And there is no backup on final at 50 ft when the guy cuts the power and ballons bleeds off the airspeed and drops us in like a rock!! whew wee. we made it idiot we're still here. Full powere, let's do it again.
Atr least cops can call for backup and they get paid.

hehe... you just reminded me of a time when I flew with an old buddy of mine from Texas back to CA in an old Baron his dad had just bought. You know.. the one with the funky throttle quadrant. And it just tickled me pink to hear the engines die when he pulled the mixtures on short final instead of the throttles. Don't ask, I have no clue... the mixtures are still in the same spot, the throttles and props are swapped. Some people shouldn't be allowed within 500' of an airplane.
.... He's now flying an RJ for Mesa. God help us all.

One good thing to think about is that being an instructor keeps you on top of the regs and fars. Because you must know these things to teach them. when it comes time for you to interview with somebody and they give you a test or sit you down and quiz you you should know these things cold...It's all part of the dues I guess, low pay and crappy work rules now for slightly better ones in the future and then better in the next and so on. I wouldnt go burning any bridges either.

Now how's about a few hundred more touch and goes? More right rudder.

In my career as a CFI I worked at three different places and kept track of everyone of my co-workers. Out of twelve people two are still working as pilots two died in plane crashes and the rest quit long ago. No one even came close to the majors.
