Religion traditionally uses marriage as a way of patriarchal control. While some marriages last 60+ years and are celebrated as wonderful acts of love, legally binding oneself to another can be regressive to personal growth. Not being able to have relationships with others limits the ability for one to understand the world. Some people move from one relationship to the other, freely without marriage, others do it with the pain of divorce. And many stagnate in marriage.....

In the decades of marriage and a western society of instant gratification and personal freedom, people change and can grow in different directions: "the spouse I married 15 years ago isn't the person I once knew.....I don't identify with them anymore...."

Consider an progressive version of marriage that is really designed to provide a healthy and stable environment to children. Then once the kids are adults, the parents decide to stay together or go separate ways. If this is seen as normal in society it doesn't become a 'therapy issue' for kids whose parents divorce when they are adults. On the lower economic scale if women received state support for their own education, job training and child care, marriage would be..... almost irrelevant. Marriage never kept a man around who truly wanted to leave.......

We basically do this now but with the pain of divorce and egos. And often parents divorce before the children are adults. With women becoming more independent and a market economy that provides all needs... is this progression is possible?

Also it always takes two... both spouses are responsible for the health of the marriage. For example wife withdraws and husband feels left alone... he seeks companionship (a basic human need). She finds out and he is the guilty bastard... yet she is responsible too... but he gets the blame (switch he and she to your preference).

Default Would they?

Could a soon to be x spouse request records from the employer? Would the airline provide travel and layover records to a spouse? What about records for another employee or crew member? There must be privacy laws that would prevent that! Right?

If you have to get married, then pick a woman who has a career. That way, when your marriage is over, you go your way and she goes her's.

You would get sued into lunar orbit, so no, employers are not going to cough up your work schedule without a subpoena, not to a spouse or anyone else. Most (or all?) states are no-fault, so your extra-curricular activities don't matter anyway.

All 50 states allow for no-fault filing, but apparently 32 states still allow for fault based filing. I can file for irr diff but spouse can counter file for adultery? I think the other attorney is getting a subpoena - will it be successful? Can it be fought?

Getting legal advice here could be tricky. Why don't you ask your lawyer? Also, even if someone DID get hotel records, etc., that doesn't prove anything. Photos from a PI would be a different story.

Being married to the same person for 20 plus years isn't boring. We have each other's back and I would take that over fling any day.

Ask your lawyer. I would guess that employer records which are relevant to the proceedings can be subpoenaed, I can't think of any reason why they would be excluded.
