The newer versions are very good, years ago they seemed to suffer from weak springs. If your pistol won't run with these it probably has a problem.
For less, the Mec-gars seem to be excellent, they are OEM for a number of Manufacturers and are very high quality in design and function.
There are few things that combine physics, metalurgy, chemistry, and art into a handheld package like a firearm. They may be low tech in some ways and are the most simple form of internal combustion engine, but in other ways they are highly refined examples of design, engineering and production.
The latest whiz-bang digital thing is scrap in three years, the firearm may retain it's value for generations or centuries.
