LuggageWorks vs TravelPro
I have not used either. Lookin for a new bag. Anyone out there with input on what way to go?
Is there anyone out there that has a LuggageWorks bag with the outside plastice frame, such as the Executive 22'', or the new Aurora 22" Rollaboard. How does the Aurora hold up against TravelPro or any others? |
My travelpros seem to fall to crap after about 8 months of use.
I'd SERIOUSLY look into one of the metal framed LW bags! Plus they're weighted properly for flight kits! The stealth is the ish....too bad it's so much more expensive! |
Luggage works steel bags are expensive, but you get what you pay for. I've had mine for 3.5 years, working 18-22 days per month, and though the paint isn't as pretty as day 1, all the parts work just like they came out of the box.
Spend the money now, you'll save in the long run. |
My Travelpro telescopic handles always broke. My metal frame LW is gling on 5 years old with only normal wear and tear. Had a plactic frame LW but a wheel got a bad bearing and overheated and actually melted the plastic frame where the axle is making it unrepairable. I'd go with the metal again....but id go wih the plastic over TP

Travel Pro sucks. Luggage Works all the way.

Ditto. 16 years, on my second LW. The only reason I got rid of the first one is because my stupid cat pi$$ed on it! Make sure you get the metal frame, however.
There is no comparison. Ferd |

Are the wheels on the plastic LW bags removable wheels, so you can replace the old wheels? I know you can change the wheels on the stealth, what about the plastic executive series? Thanks to everyone for their advise. All the input so far has helped me a ton. Thanks. |

Ditto on LW, especially if you're a commuter. Mine's going on 6 years and still going strong. I'll probably have it for another 10 years.
Also, I once had the top fabric get ripped when something was dropped on it. Although it was past it's warranty, they replaced and repaired the fabric panel for free. They even replaced a broken zipper and the foam handle while it was there, all gratis. As a former TP user, LW is the way to go. |
