C-182 A model with a STOL kit (skydiving bird.) Dead nuts reliable, and in a pinch you could put it on a 300 foot sidewalk...

There was another thread recently about what type rating someone would get if they could have their choice.
The DC-3 was a favorite it seems. This video ought to get the fire burning for those with a love for DC-3s! :D EAA Video Player - Your Source for Aviation Videos It is about an 8:30 video. I'm sure some of you will be getting chills up the spine around 6:20. There is something in the video for those of you that love to get your hands greasy too! USMCFLYR |
Don't take this the wrong way, but it looks like you're waiting on a jump from AAA!! I don't remember why I was sitting there like that. Probably just chillin taking it all in. |

A36 Bonanza
I think my favorite plane was the A36 Bonanza. I did not think I would like it since I flew it for a bush carrier, but it did well. We landed it in all kinds of places and hauled incredible loads for a plane that should be more dainty and frail.
Well made. Skyhigh |

My top favorites (in no particular order): 1) Sabreliner 40 - Flies like a dream, makes a lot of noise; what more could you ask for? 2) Lockheed L-1011 - Years ahead of it's time, roomy cockpit, great handling. 3) Boeing 757 - As easy to fly as a 182, with loads of power and great brakes. What the 737 dreams of being when it grows up. |
No big planes as of yet, but I really got to be a fan of the Gulfstream / Grumman GA-7 Cougar the short time i flew it. Really a good trainer. Very stable and easy to handle
