Separation anxiety

Talk about separation anxiety! Wonder how this would fly with the FAA in this country?

Boeing 737 / Sukhoi SU-26 Formation - Video

If properly briefed and executed - not a problem.
Unbriefed.......could lead to disaster.
Dissimilar aircraft flying in formation can be a dangerous situation.

I remember a mishap in '91 IIRC where a T-34C ON A TRAINING FLIGHT (Marine student in front, former F-14 IP in back) agreed to take a look at a Tomcat's gear when the aircraft reported a malfunction. They joined up over Corpus Christi bay. The T-34C got a little to close I guess and basically got sucked up into the belly of the Tomcat resulting in loss of the airframe and two fatalities (all in full view of the lunch crowd at the County Line BBQ restaurant with it's panoramic view of the bay (and the mishap :())
