iPad

I'm looking to buy an iPad 2 (please don't try to convince me to buy an iPad 1:) ). I'm trying to decide on what size I need (all jokes aside). It comes in 16, 32 and 64 GB. I'm going to be instructing and photo-flying a lot for my job, so I'm going to use it to pull up lesson plans, my scheduler, and other things of the sort. When I'm out flying, I'll use it to view sectionals, enroute charts, and I plan on buying a few of those fancy whiz-bang apps that show your GPS position on IFR plates and what not. I'll also use it for recreational and fun purposes. Any input from people with iPad experience on here as to which size I should buy? Would 16 be enough for my needs, or should I go all out here?

Thanks ;)

Aw hell, go all out. Better resale value that way anyways. Better to have more room and not use all of it rather than not having enough space and wishing for more. There's no memory upgrades once you commit, keep that in mind.

I am using the iPad2 64gb right now. I say go big or stay home! Lol.

Seriously, the bigger is better. I had to decide on leaving some things off because movies, files, email, etc, can chew up the space fast. I wish this was 128 or more to be honest.

I've got the IPad 1, 16 GB, WIFI only. The charts/sectionals application that I use takes up about 5 GB. If I were to do it again, I'd get the 64 GB version, WIFI only...the 3G version requires a Data plan that's about $30/month. I do love my IPad's capabilities.

I have the iPad2, 64 gig, verizon 3G. Pay $20/mo for data (1 gig). I use the data plan for email, websurfing and checking my schedule and the weather out on the ramp. Occassionally send/update jepp charts on it via cellular too. Have yet to go beyond my data limit, but I also don't do a lot of streaming music or video (maybe 30 min/mo).

Charts (NOAA and Jepp), local sectionals/enroute charts for weekend flying, and all of the manuals that I could think to put on (aicraft, FAA, company), plus some fun apps/games, photos, and music and I still have over 35 gig of free space.
