TOP GUN AMC Theaters on May 2-ONE NIGHT ONLY
(I logged back on after at least a year hiatus to post this?)
Yep! For one night only, May 2, 2011, celebrate the movie that inspired WAY too many of us to become pilots, military or otherwise.
"Feel the need, the need for speed"!
"Kick the tires and light the fires!"
"Have your ego write checks your body can't cash!"
"If you had to go into battle, would you want him as your wingman?"
"Fly a cargo plane full of rubber dog-do-do out of Hong Kong!"
See Kelly McGills take her top off so . . (oh wait, that was that Amish movie with Harrison Ford).
Top Gun 25th Anniversary Re-Release - Exclusively at AMC Theatres - April 30 and May 2, 2011
See you at the show!!!
(admit it, you know you loved this movie)

You mean we can watch Maverick leave Charlie in bed with a love note in an origami?
What kind of MAN makes an origami?
Don't forget:
"I WANT MORE BUTTS!"
and
"Why are there only dudes at this volleyball court?"
I tease. It truly has the best opening sequence of any movie made thus far but that's probably because the screenwriter who wrote the movie had nothing to do with it. The best part is talking to the guys that were there and who have the stories about the filming... in broad day light and not some dawn or yellow sky day... and talking to the guys about life as a Navy pilot post that movie.
But whereas the Navy pilots have Top Gun, those of us based in Cleveland flying regionals had A View From The Top. Nothing like watching a movie that ridicules your job right down to your base, former airplane and seat.
