Who cares that wasn't the question French flyer!? You might as well talk about your friends that flew C-421 at 18.

Little? I think the 757 is bigger than the A310 or about the same size.

My brother just checked out as a B767 Captain at Hawaiian at age 32. Wonder if he is the current youngest widebody Captain. He almost made Captain on the DC-10 at age 24 just prior to 9-11.

The premise of this thread is disturbing. I think it has been clearly demonstrated that you need to be at least 60 to have the necessary skills and judgment to captain a widebody.

I became a widebody captain (of my domain) at age 13.

(think Seinfeld...)

Hell...let's push for 70!!! kidding of course. I think it is great the younger people are so driven and have worked hard to get to a position so young. Having said that....a lot of this industry is luck of the draw. I know many people who worked and still work hard for 25 years to even upgrade, this thread is not meant as a slap in the face. It just depends on what airline and the timing. I got hired as 767 FO at age 28 because that was the Junior airplane at my company. Are their people out there that have worked harder to get there? I guarantee it. It's a crazy industry.

Well, I hope not...

This thread is bogus, we all know that there needs to be "inflation" (age 65) adjustments made post 12/2007.
