Boeing's New Airplane - Boeing announces The 737 MAX

Some pretty big claims over the CSeries and A320 NEO. Discussion, go.

I'm no turbine engine expert by any means, but it seems the newest and most efficient engines are going for larger and larger fan diameters, yet it would appear by the artists sketches that this new 737 is still standing on the current landing gear design (at least in terms of height). I guess that rules out the bigger fan trend for the 737max. Must be some other voodoo in use.
