a) the media won't cover a "news" story based on an anonymous forum post or thread... they need "sources" that is media 101.
b) I have flown with a few carriers, and in quite a few more j/s ... long and short haul... 99% of the guys preoccupy themselves with either a book, news paper, iPhone app, or something to keep from falling asleep or talking so much that they miss every radio call. I don't ever recall seeing anyone miss a radio call while reading or looking at an iPhone btw... c) If you fly 1 hr short hop legs in US domestic air space it's one thing.... if you are doing 10+ hour flights with long segments in non-radar or class 2 space, like oceanic and you literally sit and stare the entire time, you are "God". |

With a parenthesis: "and those who have no sense of maturity or discretion on what to post on a public forum."
or "How long can you close your eyes while flying before you're actually considered asleep..." (For all the media reporters on APC looking for a big scoop, I'm only kidding. I don't sleep while flying and I don't own an iPad. Sorry for joking, I know professionals aren't suppossed to do that.) |

LOLOLOLOLOL You gotta be kidding, right? Anyone who has a student pilot certificate and can spell "airplane" is considered an aviation expert.
