The Daily Nightly - The long road home: super commuters on the rise

As I understand it, some of you guys have The Mother Of All Commutes that make the commuters in this story look like chump change.

I flew with a guy in ANC who commuted to his home in Key West, and I meet lots of flight attendants based in NRT who live in the US, and some in Europe! 2 hour commute, pish!

No thanks!
 

Commuting to your trip is a pain, but many pilots have noticed the freeways below, morning rush-hour traffic backed up for miles, and reflected: "I could be in the middle of that every day, creeping toward my office cubicle." :eek:

When I first got on the 747-400, there was a Captain who commuted from Australia to LA or SFO, I believe. :eek:

Nice, you guys beat me to it, but I'm glad somebody posted this. I saw that on the news too. My wife and I looked at each other and laughed. And I have an easy one legger too, since living in base ain't in the cards, I'd still rather run this easy commute once a week than drone my way down on those highways listening to drive time talk radio Mon thru Fri, and sometimes on Saturday. Screw that noise.
