Just don't ask any of the FA's for a "2 minute de-brief" to see if "anything is non-standard." They might get the wrong idea.

Very surprised most majors wouldn't SOP a few seconds debrief, even if it isn't much more than a nod and discussion of any troubles. It is encouraged in medical field after cases, usually also is a 10 second "that was ok" or any discussion of any issues if any. Doesn't have to turn into a major M&M session.

I think it's more the internet in general and this thread in particular.

There's even an MD that comes on here to authoritatively lecture airline pilots about airline flying.

Debrief is a checklist item on the shutdown check at Delta subsidiary Endeavor Air. (My info is almost 2 years old though)

I always thought the "debrief" was held in the Captains room with a 12 pack of beer.

Debrief.....seriously? Unless something unsafe or nonstandard who gives a ****?! Some people just need to hear themself talk. I am not trying to be the worlds best airline pilot. I just want to fly safely and go to the house.

Best brief/debrief ever: "All I care about is the 15th and the 30th."

It's on the checklist here at CPZ as well. I always felt that a 'debrief item' is as simple as saying 'great job', or 'thanks for all the help with that last minute runway change'. Or, as a more formal 'yeah, we'd better file a crew report/ASAP because xxxxx happened'. More of a memory jogging device on the checklist than anything else. But I don't want to wade into the deep waters of tooldom so I'll leave it at that.

I'll go with..."By the grace of the Sky Gods... cheated death again. What's for dinner?"
