Default A Thanksgiving Invitation

Thanksgiving is upon us. From friends and family, I have heard much about airline schedules and how people trade, beg and extort just so they can be at home with their families. This is an open invitation to those of you who, through no fault of your own or not because of any lack of effort to the contrary, find yourselves on a layover in Seattle on November 23 and you have no family here. I have come to "know" many of you, and indeed consider a few I've met as friends. btw, I don't like turkey, but I do a pretty mean prime rib and lamb chops. Beats going to Denny's, eh? I promise not to quiz you on the subtleties of the RLA if you promise not to laugh about my landings.

Hey, I don't know where I'll be on Thanksgiving, but I'll be in Olympia the next 3 days. What is there to do around there? I'm planning on hitting up Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helens.

Ok, in addition to being a fantastic cook, I suppose I could hijack my own thread and tout the virtues of my home state. As you may have heard, we are experiencing a Pineapple Express and every single river is on flood watch. Some may have crested already. Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helens are always good places to visit, but I'd check on accessibility first before heading out. Olympia is the state capitol, but it has a lot of nice restaurants. I go to Olympia for work or business, not for tourist reasons. The next closest city to the north would be Tacoma. There's the Museum of Glass, Washington State Historical Museum and Antiques Row. Next city up is Seattle and it has too many places to see, I won't be able to go through it all here. Alright, hope this helps you. And now I have to get back to my beloved Seahawk game.
