Hello

Hi guys and gals.
I am a pvt pilot approx 450 hrs. Haven't flown in a while as life tends to get in the way, plus i had an heart attack in 2008.

I am in battle with the FAA to reinstate my third class medical certificate. Making me jump through hoops for sure but I am like a jackass with three feet in the cement. I will win this war.

I know I am not in your league, just want to read and learn from you. I have not been in the left seat for 20 yrs, got a lot to catch up on.

My first plane was a Cessna 150, got my ticket with it, sold that one, purchased a 172, flew the pants off that. Flew sky divers with a newer model 182.

Purchase a Citabria, had a ball, sold that bought a J3 and a Champ.

So here I am.
Thanks for letting me in.

Hello,

I just joined the forum.

I flew extensively in the mid-70s to early 90s as a flight instructor, charter pilot, and corporate pilot. I've co-owned a part 135 executive charter company as well as an aircraft sales and pilot services company.

I've flown many types of general aviation airplanes, up through Lear 30 series and Cessna Citations. My most memorable flight was right seat on a 1934 DC-2: LGB-LAS-GCN-LAS-LGB.

I retired a couple of years ago from a large aerospace company where I was senior engineering manager.

I'm a CFI with an A&P from a school that's no longer around- Northrop University. Looking to gain more experience and certs at a flight school and/or Part 135 operation.

Past: Engineering degree and 20 years developing technology products plus an MBA was the path to management consulting and an early "retirement" to help raise a family. They're all grown up now, so I'm on to the next challenge.

After I learn more about the business and earn the certifications I can help an aviation company grow.

Zero to Hero

Zero time, going to start flying Monday and go zero to hero. Should be interesting. Took a buyout from General Motors. Was an engine calibrator there. Always wanted to fly, but never had the time. Now I do.

I’ve been flying a Navajo for a resort in Alaska for about 8 years looking for a opportunity to fly something bigger.
