ALPA did a great article on Tim Martins, he really represented ALPA and made it clear what they stand for, of course that might have been an accident too.
It was graphic, it was vile and it offended a bunch of people. It did make for good public eyewash though, at least until the facts became known.

So how in the hell does anyone get insured on a Gulfstream anything as a *brand new* commercial pilot? On her own dime she knocks out a butt load of certs and ratings in really short order? This stinks to high heaven.
Quoting the article, "Marcinko got another unheard-of offer....". Hmmmm, ya thank?! Maybe just a teensy bit unheard of? Just liiiittle far fetched? Right there the author is putting up, yet seemingly not heeding his own red flag?

The sad thing is Plane and Pilot runs a bubbling article, when we all know this is shady as hell (even without that deleted link.). Add that deleted link and then this is even worse.
I'm also wondering about the flight training institutions that colluded in this.Ok, so Simuflite is one. Maybe this girl really is smart and talented. She just needed a financier. Maybe they knew the "short cuts" to pass some writtens and checkrides.
