On my phone and can't post a picture, but I own 2 bimmers... An '08 alpine white 335 and a '00 K1200RS. Love them both!!

335s are great sleepers (compared to M3s), especially 335xis that go like stink at lower speeds. I've driven around in a 535 quite a bit too and that was nowhere near as fun. The 535 is just pushing around too much weight on a chassi too big to be in the same league. I love 3s, but I'm not sure about the new one, not because of the engine, but because the car just keeps getting bigger.

K1200RS? How do you like that ride? I have been drooling over one of the later models but, as of yet, had the opportunity to talk to anyone who actually owns one. Do they ride as well as the cars?

That's been a problem for a couple decades now.

My car, the last of the big-motor non-airbag sport-package E30's. It looks a bit different now, I'll have to take new pictures some time.

When I became a rich airline pilot, first thing I did was buy a BMW. Unfortunately the year was 1998 and the car was an '87 e30:p The price was a little rich so we negotiated out the stereo the guy had installed. I had to be up in CVG the next day to start my reserve so I drove the 13 hours from Orlando, by myself, no radio, no cell phone, just the sound of the 2.7l straight six eta engine to keep me company. The odometer quit on the drive up but I would guess I put about 100k over the next 7 years with that as my only car. The A/C also died that day, to be followed in subsequent years by the central locking, power steering, heat, etc. There was only one time, in 2000, when the car let me down. Over the course of getting married, honeymoon, moving FL to MI, the car sat for 3 months in the CVG employee lot. After a quick jump she fired right up. I loved that car and would have another in the garage right now if the hipsters hadn't decided they were cool and pushed cost beyond reason.

Had an e46 325i for a year or so, beautiful car, really the best looking of all the 3 series.

2008 bought my '07 e86M. Such a great car, can't recommend it highly enough. The only reason I sold was I ready to try something different after 4 years and 44k miles.

2011 e92 M3 replaced the Moupe. Very different car, much more of a GT, but the s65 motor is a must own IMO.

I'm not a fan of any fancy cars, so my first ride after becoming a pilot was a new '87 Ford Ranger because I couldn't justify relying on an airline job to make a car payment.

But, I confess, I'm a scooter junkie. And my current ride is a '11 BMW F800GS. Previous one, an '02 BMW R1150R. They are the 2-wheel equivalent of the 4-wheel varieties. I'd have an American-made bike if they weren't as proud of their bikes as the Germans and Italians are of their cars.

Gotta be a little careful here, though; my wife is the human equivalent of her Ducati 696: red (headed), gorgeous, and temperamental!
