Roku / Amazon Video overseas
 

What are folks using / how are they doing it, regarding Roku box and US NetFlix and Amazon Prime streaming, while overseas ?

I am overseas at the present time and use Tunnel Bear VPN, but to be honest, the speed is so slow that my Amazon Prime streaming is always hanging up and stopping mid-movie.

Any ideas ? thanks

Is your Internet fast outside the VPN?

I used VPN express app for iPad and iPhone last year in turkey and it worked well. You have to buy data, but it was pretty cheap.

Don't know how these would work with a roku box. I just hooked the phone to my tv using an rca adapter to watch Netflix on my tv.

Try selecting a different VPN exit point if that's an option with your provider. I use WiTopia, and the difference in speed using the LA exit point vs. Phoenix was mind-boggling...

Hola unblocker for Chrome is what I use on my MacBook and I have an HDMI cable. My Apple TV is practically useless.
