Delta pilot ATC Rant

For your listening pleasure. (30:20)

That double breasted jacket must be on a little too tight. Or maybe they were busy monitoring delta ops radio 121.5, either way I hope I can attain that level of professionalism someday.

MrMustache 07-25-2014 06:10 PM

Yowch, hopefully not a new hire.

deltajuliet 07-25-2014 06:13 PM

Yeah, that's something. I cringe when I hear those exchanges on frequency. Usually one person is trying to let it go and the other person won't.

flyprdu 07-25-2014 06:16 PM

Settle down, Captain Happy.

THIS is your first post? Hmmmm.

captain152 07-25-2014 06:21 PM

Hahaha!!! That just made my beer taste that much better. Holy friggin gawd!!

I think that dude gets nominated for TOTY

captain152 07-25-2014 06:23 PM

Settle down, Captain Happy.
That made me laugh

GogglesPisano 07-25-2014 06:23 PM

Cringeworthy.

I wonder how he talks to his family.

Can't we all just get along?

JoeyMeatballs 07-25-2014 06:25 PM

Wow, what a total D- bag

80ktsClamp 07-25-2014 06:27 PM

Yikes! That controller isn't exactly the A-team at ATL, but I guess that 0625 sign in this morning got to him.

Maybe his dog pooped in his Chobani.

gloopy 07-25-2014 06:29 PM

LOL what a dbag. Sounds like someone needs to go to re-education camp.

Monkey Wrench 07-25-2014 06:30 PM

I'm sure he talks to offline jumpseaters the same way.

Everyplace has their 1%ers. You're at 9E right? you've never seen your share?

buzzpat 07-25-2014 06:42 PM

Filler....

Jughead 07-25-2014 06:58 PM

The next plane was like 6 miles away. I'll taxi to 27R any damn way I please. Tired of the attitude I get in ATL.

CriticalMach 07-25-2014 07:22 PM

Delta Douch.

Assuming it's the FO on the radios, he's reaaaally senior in category. 1998 hire.

airhead99 07-25-2014 07:25 PM

I'm guessing the wife found out about the mistress. Or someone peed in his Cheerios. Maybe both. Either way, I hope the FO called him an *********.

It was probably the FO. I hope the CA chewed his ass.

Not that it matters, but, what equipment and base?

Look up 2422 out of ATL on iCrew... ATL 88.

I can't tell if the voice changed from the earlier transmissions. Regardless, I really hope the non-offending party had a little "chat" with the other. TOTD for that dude.

I'm not the most social person for 0625 sign-ins, but I'm not that fussy. :)

Lol. We all have a bad day from time to time. It's probably best not to have it recorded and put on the Imternet forever.

Timbo 07-25-2014 07:40 PM

The one voice is so much clearer than all the other transmissions, it almost sounds faked.

But I would have loved to have been on the freq. and busted his chops for that rant.

What a tool.

My favorite line, "I make a mistake about every 2-3 minutes, but I don't have an attitude about it!"

Um, yes, you do! Dip sh!t.

I've gotten testy at times but never like that. I thought the ATC guy handled it remarkably well especially since they were on the wrong taxiway (and, apparently ATL-based).

Mesabah 07-25-2014 07:45 PM

I think the voice changed, my guess is it was the captain. Plus, I can't see an FO saying something like "We'll get there however we want".

16 years as an 88B would do that to anyone :D

Looked 'em up. Don't know them. I hope their frikkin cell phones are buzzing the **** out of them about now. Dorks.

GogglesPisano 07-25-2014 08:18 PM

You can never win an argument over the radio. So why even start one?

Best left for the dinner table.

When I f'up and the ground controller tells me, I always say, "Thanks!"

Seems to work.

You can tell he was looking for a fight, for whatever reason, he was looking for it. That's an abnormal reaction to a rather normal situation and being leg 1? Leg 14 of 14 in the summer on the 88, okay, you can get a pass, but leg 1?

Hmmm. Being that this is Delta, we have a protocol on how to handle this. You go down to the massage garden in the crew room atrium in terminal E and ask for a slow hand... massage.

It's obviously working for Ferd here. ^^^

Wrong.

They're not flying with you, they're worshiping you.
