Thanks! Loved reading about the Eastern Kansas, KCK Fairfax Airport. The B-25 Mitchell was assembled there. My mother worked parts bookkeeping on the wing. TWA had its overhaul base there, until the July 1951 flood of the Missouri River. TWA and Mid-Continent Airlines moved to an overhaul base that was built and became MCI, the Kansas City International Airport. Do not confuse this with the Downtown airport, MKC which was where PAX flights were until MCI. It is right across the river from KCK, in the “teacup” with downtown skyscrapers to the immediate south and Briarcliff to the immediate north. MKC is still used for general aviation.

You may have to add Flying W (N14) soon. One my favorite little airports in South Jersey that may close and have housing developed on. Sad to see.

You're sh***ing me! Really? Used to take my Grandmother there for their Thanksgiving spread. Was always great. Plus many touch and goes since I learned to fly next door at VAY.

Same. A couple airports from my childhood which sparked my interest in aviation have gone away. Restaurant was very good there as well. It's not definite as yet I suppose, but I can't see the Board turning down all that additional tax revenue.

Sad, but true. Then it'll only be a matter of time before they complain about "noisy" planes at VAY. Only time will tell. Thanks for the info bud!
