fellow Aviators, Powerball now at $675Million

It's a lot of dough, would you still fly for the airlines just for fun if you win? Curious...

I wouldn't

Fly just for fun? Does anyone do that now? I'd be gone.

I think $4 million would be the cutoff for leaving and never coming back vs. sticking around just to be 100% sure you and your family are financially set.

I'd continue flying without a second thought. I've wanted to do this job since I was five years old and want to continue doing it until I physically can't. I know some people have different reasons for flying but what other job can you say pays you to fly for a few hours to watch a beautiful sunrise and spend a few days in Europe? Not many.

Now am I saying I wouldn't buy a few toys like a Piper Cub and a fancy car? Of course not, you'd have to have some fun with the money. But I still love my job and wouldn't give it up for anything... but that's just me :D Happy flying!

No way, after the deposit, c ya :D

I think I would quit, start my own airline, but it would look a lot like the old Hooters Air.

Oh, and I'd be number one on the seniority list. ;^)

Then in about a year, after the $650 Million was gone, I'd still be a greeter at WalMart.

Beat me to it, Timbo....EXCEPT my plane would look a lot like the inside of Chippendale's and I'd hire me some hot, studly pilots! :p

Buy a bizjet and fly make-a-wish families exclusively.

Same here, but I'd be THE problem employee with a pit-bull legal team to keep getting my job back. Then, after becoming bored with my shenanigans, I'd probably go fishing.

This is what I'd most likely actually do, along with supporting a lot of missionary flying.

Once you realize your $250 Million dollars(cash option after taxes) allows for to do ALL of this on your own time without some (now fellow) rich jerk or airline boss telling you what to do and what time to do it...and realizing you make more in interest than your crummy aviation salary every paid you......you'd be gone in a heartbeat.
