Real optimism, not.

Since the scene from 'Airplane' was mentioned. Remember the utter chaos that happened in the scene right after Julie Hagerty asks if anyone knows how to fly a plane. Passengers are screaming, and running up n' down the aisle of the airplane.

I am thinking of others. Above the din of the chaos. Despite my (physical)health issues. Remember that I know CPR, First Aid, setting a tourniquet for a broken arm leg, and the Heimlich Maneuver. With your emotionally ignorant thinking. Maybe I should just ignore someone who is having a heart attack, having trouble breathing from choking, is bleeding profusely, or needs a splint for a broken arm/leg.

That doesn't actually happen. You're aware of this, right?

You're aware that the melodrama and satire was the point of the movie, correct?

You're aware that it's just a movie?

Not exactly, asymmetrical thrust means that you may have control issues trying to go to max-thrust on a twin-engine aircraft that has one engine inoperative. If you are a pilot and know specifically how to counter this, you might be alright, but increasing power on the operative engine may be the wrong thing to do and what sends the aircraft into a spin/spiral towards the ground.

Sorry dude, your chances of successfully landing an airliner by yourself w/out training or w/out another pilot is slim to none. Keep dreaming my friend...keep dreaming. Make sure you give that first aid and buddy care when you hit the ground.

Chris, You have five total posts on the forum. You're lecturing professional pilots with decades of experience and making definitive statements about things you don't understand. Did you come here to learn something and to ask an honest question, or to tell us how much you think you know, and to try to teach professionals about their jobs?

Sounds to me like you came here to argue. Your initial posts were of someone who knows very little to nothing, asking a theoretical, and for some clarification. You received it in spades. You argued with some of it. Your posts are halted, broken, with periods in mid sentence, yet some of your posts are quite the opposite. I get the distinct feeling that your visit here wasn't to learn, but to play games. That may be best done elsewhere.

Chaos, yes. That kind of chaos. Not even in a millenium.

Even if you are being sarcastic. I had a reaction like that. Feeling that her beautiful voice was now only a memory on video.

Yes, I knew that. Increasing power on an inoperative engine. Is a waste of time, and potentially, if not definitely fatal.

Dreaming, not in the least. That invariably implies that I desperately want a situation like to happen. I definitely don't.

Learn, Beyond what I already know. But not to be insulted for a lack of knowledge.
