says it's not available at this time, but something like that would work well.

That's the technique right there! LOL.

Default Temporary solution for emergency humidifier

I just had a really sore throat and due to the fact that i breath through my mouth it causes it to dry up and become more painful.

I needed a humidifier after hours on a weekend and couldn't get one from any store, so I just turned the shower on, exhaust fan off and left the washroom door open. I have a small enough space that it worked well.

Default Another Technique

After you check in and take your obligatory shower, hang the wet towel over the back of a chair, and put the chair by the air conditioner/heater. Keep the fan on continuous, and it will circulate moist air throughout the room.

I've used the "steam your own" uniform trick for years (by hanging shirts and/or jacket in the bathroom), since I usually got to the layover at midnight, had to show at 1000 the next morning, and overnight cleaning wasn't an option.

Combine the two: when running out of shirts on a 5-day trip, hand-wash the uniform shirt in the sink or tub (using hotel shampoo), hang on the back of the chair (in front of the air conditioner) to humidify the room, and if it's not quite dry in the morning, the iron finishes the job.

I bought the small clear plastic Vicks humidifier and took the center of it out. I carried with me for a time, but I got tired of carrying it.

The blue middle part is removable and can be placed in the sink, tub, or some ice buckets.

Here's another one I found while googling:

To improve on this even more, make sure to also douse the drapes that hang over the HVAC under the window. Make sure they're dripping wet.

I bought one of these last winter after growing tired of getting so dried out in hotel rooms. It doesn't take up much space in my bag. I just set it up on the nightstand right by my head. Seems to make a difference.

Turn on the hot water and fill your tub with just enough water to cover the surface. Put one of your large towels in the tub and soak it. Wring it out and drape it over the chair near the air conditioner/heater. Leave the water in the tub until the morning.

Bottle Cap USB humidifiers are the deal, about $3 in PEK or $8 form Amazon. They pack easily and do a good job!

For $7.00 and a Ice Bucket + one of these in front of the A/C or Heater;

Amazon.com : Etree Ultrasonic Mist Maker Fogger Water Fountain Pond 12 LED : Tabletop Fountains : Home & Kitchen

Plus, you have the Boom-Chica-Boom-Boom Lights, (if needed)

I have a larger Ultrasonic Humidifier at home and it works great.
