Skype users?

If you are using Skype for phone calls made from layovers, can you plz share your likes/dislikes? I'm flying with a guy who completely swears by it.

i've been using Skype for a month now, and it's the bomb.

The voice quality exceeds that of normal LD phone calls. My girlfriends say it sounds like I'm calling from next store. Is it my headset? Who knows. I use the Sennheiser PC-130.

I use Skype all the time in my travels. I have been using it for over a year. I am not a pilot yet, but I travel alot and therefore I am constantly using skype from my laptop w/ a headset to call my fiance, family and friends to kill time in the airport, the hotel, or in a cafe after my meetings.
