757 thinner than a 737?

Is it just an optical illusion or are 757 actually thinner than 737? I keep telling myself that since they are both 3+3 seating and are made by the same manufacturer that they cant be of widths that differ all that much. Even so, I still feel like whenever I see a 57 I think it is thinner than a 37.

It is an illusion, they are actually the same width, 11' 7"

It is indeed an opticial illusion. The 737's wingspan is nearly equavelent to it's lenght. This is why they call it Fat Albert.
