Another question if that's ok, I have foreflight, will the weather/traffic show up there or does stratux have it's own app?
Does stratux connect via bluetooth to the ipad?
Finally, I have a dual gps (the little red one) which works great and connects to the ipad with bluetooth, would that change?

If I understand your questions - you want weather and traffic from Stratux but GPS from a bluetooth device. I think it would be easier to just get a cheap USB powered GPS antenna for $15 for the stratux box but your method may work. Let us know!
Find out I can still use the dual gps and do not have to get the plug in gps you mentioned.

Gotcha yeah I have FF already. I was interested in the message from ceepee about the iping thing he was talking about. If it really just plugs directly into the ipad I'll go that route. Way easier than having an extra box every flight.
