Non-Travel Perks

Hey All,

Was wondering what are some of the best (non-travel) perks you get at your companies.

Thanks in advance!

Don't spill the sweet free coffee on your slacks and they won't be brown.

Got a discount on a couple rooms at the crew hotel for me and the wife and my sister and her husband in a cool city for new years. While hanging at the bar with my brother in law and waiting for the girls to get ready, I ask about a crew discount. Bar keep says we get 20% off. Already impressed by the deal we got on the hotel, my brother in law looks at me and says "Jesus man! Why do you airline people just get to live your whole life 20% off!?" I didn't have a good answer.

It's not an especially good story but it is a long way of saying: best perk? 20% off everywhere!!!

It's all about the glamour.

It's that moment at the end of a short 14 hour day when I finally get the helmet off, and it wreaks like athletes foot, while I wait the 20 minutes or so it takes to get my knees to unbend enough to get over the canopy rails and dismount the aircraft, and sit in my salt-white sweat soaked flight suit and think how fortunate I am to be the envy of all the cool kids.

Then I remember that the cool kids have no idea what I'm doing and don't care because let's face it, they're doing something cool. The perk is knowing that I have that glamour all to myself, and it's wonderful.

The line girl is kind of perky, too, which is nice.
