Default How many flying days?

For all the interisland guys that are home every night...

I'm assuming that with shorter interisland legs that you guys probably work more days per month than your wide body counterparts. How many days per month are you actually flying compared to the wide body guys?

To many.

A reserve line will get you 18 days work on any aircraft.

Line holding depends largely on seniority and the trips you can or want to fly.

II at our minimun of 4:10 gets you 18days on for 75hrs. Get a few 5 hr days and the work days start dropping. Those tend to be more senior. Or still work 18 and just make more money.

Widebody is all over the map, from junior dropping down to 9 days off to hold a line made up of 3 day west coast trips. To senior flying one SYD, PEK, or JFK a week and having 18 days off.
Our Trip rig just improved to 1 hr pay to 3.5 TAFB. So those west coast 3 day trips will be better when the credit part kicks in Jan. 2018.

Sorry for the detour on the thread, but isn't it odd that changes, in your new contract, occur so far away ( as opposed to a retro)? I thought there was another, sign now and get that benefit later, maybe on payscale? Coincide with your new aircraft type? Potential merger? etc.

The way I understand it is the 1:3.5 rig kicks in right away. (Apr 1) but flica hasn't been updated to reflect the changes. So we basically have to watch our paychecks and make sure they add the extra credit.
But some other things in the contract start further away, to basically allow Hawaiian to hire enough people to cover the contract changes.

Right now it's pay, but not credit at the new rate. The reason is that at the new trip rig everyone (on average) will be flying a little less when it counts for credit, and if the company started right now with the new trip rig credit we'd be short pilots. The delay to January is to allow the company enough time to hire & train the additional required pilots.
