Now the locals are crying about the interisland quarantine and how it isn't fair that a mainlander can travel here but they cannot go interisland. There is a deep seeded racism out here based on whether you're part of a certain demographic or not. Reality is, these locals acted like tribe members for the last 7 months. Going so far as to separate the islands and even separate towns on the same island. They literally turned on their own people based on a virus. It would be like turning on your neighbor because they caught the Flu. They wanted this quarantine, so the Mayors gave it to them. As much as it hurts Hawaiians business, the one saving grace is I get to watch the sh!tshow they created for themselves.
Finally, there is a push for locals to staycation within the islands to stimulate the economy.... yet they cannot because of the quarantine.
This place makes Florida look like a state full of Harvard grads.

I keep telling everyone if they want to experience racism first hand, move to Hawaii and spend a few years there. The Deep South is woke central compared to Hawaii.
