Aircrew instructor position
Hawaiian is currently advertising the Aircrew Instructor - Pilot pathway position again.
I have read and understand the details in the job description but just wanted some insights as to whether this is a legitimate route to the flight deck at HAL, chances for regional guy with no ties to the islands, pay, seniority, etc. Thanks in advance |
My information is second hand, but the position requires you to be an instructor for 24 months before they’ll give you the interview I believe. That is assuming they are hiring at the time that your 24 months are up.

Oh yeah, and I forgot to add. It’s not a pilot position so you aren’t part of the seniority list until you actually get hired as an FO.

Seems like you'd be better off flying for two years than being a ground school instructor for that time. Its putting all your eggs in one basket, two years, zero time and no currency will keep you out of anywhere else.
