not too long ago it was $36 and regionals were 40-50$. Does it make sense? No not really, ask me what the difference is year two or three, or year 10. Then at which most don’t really care because it’s a lot more than regional pay

Anyone with access to Snook's latest town hall? At runtime 22:30, "there are some other things we're thinking about, that we'd like to do but they are not fully formed and we are not ready to announce anything at the moment." Part of his response to the next three years at Hawaiian Airlines.

Indeed, reading between the lines, it could be what’s been rumored about. I like the last line, “…that we can’t communicate on this call.”

plus 10 more new hires started on Oct 3.

We’ll have to hire to fill the last vacancy that staffs opening up the rest of Japan, ie. Fukuoka and Chitose. Then hire as the 787s arrive. Seems for the foreseeable future, as I’ve heard management say.

Any intel on when they’ll need a new vacancy bid for new hires?

Yeah when I went to my Interview they told me for the foreseeable future they would be hiring aggressively in all aircraft and upgrade time in the 717 is 9 months right now. I was also told that a "LAX base would be coming by January" but I don't know if that was them "dangling the carrot" to get me all googly eyed as I live in SoCal. They mentioned that they are working on a new pilot contract that has to go through before they can start flying the 330F for Amazon. As for the 787, "It wont be here until 2024 but they will one getting 4 delivered at once."

all stuff I was told in my interview late last month.

The one that just closed still had 120+ new hire slots listed without any 787s

Lots of room

Sure sounds like they keeping the 330s for a while. Can easily see this place growing to 1400 to 1500 pilots.
