We are also near the end of 330 growth until the 330NEO or whatever shows up, begin to arrive in 2019 (hopefully)...
I dunno if I agree... 321's coming soon and shortstaffed which spells upgrades... I imagine quite a bit of 330 FO's will be going to upgrade on 321's as they come and also 717.. bottomline is I think there will be alot of movement over the next 1-2yrs for sure that there will be slots on all aircraft for new hires. My good friend is very close to holding 717 CA, so thats 1 330 FO right there going to upgrade on 717. I think there will be plenty of movement coming, but what do i know.. lol

don't be too sure about people upgrading to the 717...
I have a friend that is FO on 330, he said he makes more money as 330 FO than he would has CA on 717, plus more days off. and don't forget the per diem you get on the 330,, 717 per diem is taxed because you are working in your base.

What will the upgrade time be for your friend getting close to 717 Capt?

I could have held it at around 4.5 years.... May still do it next year depending how 321 capt. Looks.

Like Magneto mentioned... the pay is about the same for 330fo or 717cp... but with a far better QOL, unless you really want to be home every night.

There are alot of 767 and 717 newbies that will most likely grab any available 330fo slot over the next few years..the pay difference is just too great not to go from 767 to 330.

330fo availability will not be focused on growth but more on upgrade to other fleets... the backfill of fo's will be from the other fleets. Many who are already on property.

There are quite a bit of 330 slots currently because many 767 and 717 fo's are seat locked, and also cannot bid 321 for 24 months.

No idea,

But from what I hear online, not too many ways to get booted unless

1) you are just not ready..ie still too new to aviation or higher levels of a/c.

Or more likely

2) didn't prepare/ had a bad attitude...

Again I have no idea what the reason was or how far they had made it... just spectulating.
