I hope your quickly hired at HAL. It's a great local company.

Thanks, I've been at HAL for a while already. And I agree that it's a great company to work for.

Full disclosure: I see nothing wrong with the increased travel restrictions. I just do not see the relevance of the topic in this Hiring thread.

I submitted my app on Feb 17th. I received the thanks for applying and standby email on March 10th, like most that applied. I then got an invite to interview email on March 14th! Super stoked! HAL gave me the option to pick my interview date and time. I choose the first available. Interviews averaged 2-4 time slots per day and about 2-4 days per month starting in May and going thru August. HAL also provides transportation to and from HNL on a HAL flight including code share airlines. They will also provide a hotel for 1-2 nights for the night before and night of the interview.

Good Luck to all that applied!

75 * 36 = $2700

-Deductions (20%)

Take home = $2160

Cheapest AirBNB in HNL: (1700)

Food: $15/day (450)

Total: ($2150)

Telling the wife I am sending home $10....Priceless. eek!

There is a simple solution to that dilemma...

I mean, you know the payscale, know first year pay, and seems like you know what rent will cost. Nobody forces anyone to apply or interview.

well you forgot a few things....

ship your car to HI = $1070...... 90
gas for car................................ 50
insurance for car....................... 80
cell phone................................. 50
haircut...................................... 10
beer......................................... 25

but you could save some if you buy a moped instead of car, and going fishing in your free time to catch dinner.

Wait, so they don't pay any moving costs? Island Air gives your $5K! Maybe the secret is to get on Island Air, get moved out, spend a year or so there and get settled in then apply at HAL.
