Thank you. Can you please clarify? What happened to the thread? Which thread? We shouldn't have deleted any thread.... thanks for your help! Nick

The republic forum had a thread already started in it before you removed the sub forum. It's not really that big of a deal as it only had two posts and it was a simple Q/A type thread.
Yeah, sorry about that. We created all the sub-forums and then we realized that it takes longer than we had anticipated to move threads into that. Not sure we can retrieve that thread at this point, what was it about, can you re-open that in the section, and we will be moving it to the sub-forum for Republic as soon as we re-open that. We'll have to be more careful next time. Thank you, have a great weekend!! N |
Have you considered the long term impact this will make with your ad revenue?

Well, assuming the user experience improves, that's better for the site and the community in the long run. Do you like the changes? Are you able to find what you are looking for faster and more efficiently now? Are you happier now than before? If the answer to the questions above is "yes", I guess this is a good change. The assumption is that, as a happier user, you'll be more likely to return to the site, spend your quality time on the site and consume more content, consume more pages and interact w/ other users. Make sense? Hope so, let me know what you think. Why are you asking, if you don't mind sharing? What's your take on this? What impact would you be expecting? Do you think I'd be loosing ad revenues through this change? Or making more? How so? I have checked total # of threads and # of posts, they are solid, though it is early to tell. I'd be waiting a week or 2 and then run a more granular analysis. Thank you. N |

This will lead to less ad impressions. Less ad impressions will lead to less clicks. Less clicks will lead to less revenue. My suggestion would be to eliminate the airline sub forums if you see a decline in page views or revenue. |
