If you have an iPhone....

This worked for me. Some of the advertisements are cached on your device and I was able to get rid of them by deleting the website data.

Go to settings/safari/advanced/website data/Erase All website data

That worked for me, but I had to flush it out a few times over a couple of days, but so far it seems to have fixed the problem for me. NOTE: this procedure will delete cookies for some websites (including this one) and you will have to login again. Good luck!

Itís a problem with your ad service, not all of our devices (which somehow all that the exact same malware?). Who is your tech team? This is a known problem

Just a follow up on this, is this still an issue? Do you all still see unwanted and spammy ads?

If so, could you drop their landing URLs?

We have reported the issue promptly to our partners and apparently this was caused by the new year, the partners have been cleaning this whole thing up, it took them a few weeks.

We were asked to wait and re-report if this kept happening.

Thanks.

Nick

Yes, this is still a problem. It happens randomly, but it happens.

Mine congratulates me for being one of 10 Android users to win a $1000 WalMart gift card.

The only way to get rid of it is to close that window.

It happens only when I'm on my phone. Desktop seems fine.

OK, thank you so much. We'll get this taken care of. Sorry about the inconvenience, this bothers me so much.

We need to be able to re-create this, and share the following, could you let us know:

a) Which site? AirlinePilotCentral.com or AirlinePilotForums.com?
b) you see on desktop, mobile or tablet, or all? [apparently mainly on mobile, correct? Please confirm]
c) which browser and which operating system [google + Android? or also safari + iOS?]
d) could you share a screenshot, click on it, and provide the landing URL

Thank you so much!

Nick

Lightbulb what weíre doing about it

All, good news and bad news.

The good news: it's a known problem, the industry and the Company (as Internet Brands) have been grappling w/ it and trying to find solutions.

I just had an urgent meeting and I got to know that we are going to implement something soon about this. Fingers crossed and let's hope it'll work.

In the meantime, please have a look at the article:
Why ads keep redirecting you to scammy sites and what weíre doing about it

The bad news: these ads are pretty sneaky and hard to catch.

Thank you so much for your patience, I will keep you posted.

Correct. It's a known problem/issue. But not that easy to fix, the whole Industry has been trying to tackling this for the past weeks and we are close to implement something that will hopefully solve this. More soon.

Thank you for your patience. I will keep everyone posted.

I confirm, it's a known issue across the industry, not just AirlinePilotForums.com
