Not your fault. It's not just AirlinePilotForums.com, it's a known issue, and it could be seen as an outbreak of malicious ads across the entire industry.

We are trying to find our own antidote. Please bear w/ us. Thank you so much for being an active user on the site!

Why ads keep redirecting you to scammy sites and what we’re doing about it

Not really, thanks for the follow up request.

I have requested help again and whether the tests that we have been working on for other sites have been successful, I'll keep you all posted, it's a very pernicious issue and there is a feeling that Companies like IB are left alone to find a solution while the (not dropping names) large Corporation that control much of the pipeline to serve ads could do much more to fix this. Stay tuned.

I'll probably/most likely have news from the Company on this next week. Thanks all for checking in, like said, it wasn't an easy task and we had to try a few things, apparently we found something that may happen to provide relief, if not even a solution to this whole issue.

Default Next steps

As this is an ongoing issue and we have work-in-progress solutions that we are testing, I have decided to stick this to the thread.

In addition, if the tests that we are running go well, we most likely going to be able to implement a fix by the end of this month, April 2018.

Stay tuned.

Nick

Yup, still happening. APC is literally the only site I use that causes these forced redirects. APC has become nearly unusable... hope a fix is nearly here!

Thank you for reaching out.

I maintain what I have stated a few posts ago, we may have a solution in place [= deployed to the site] by end of April/beginning of May. I'll keep everyone posted.

Thanks for your patience.

Thanks for the message.

This is an industry problem, it just doesn't affect APCentral/APForums.

https://product.voxmedia.com/2018/1/...to-secure-them

Or, if you use other forums, it may be that the other forums are small in size, hence spammers just focus on APC/APF as it's the largest and leading community.

Stay tuned. We are going to deploy a solution to this soon. Nick
