Default 12 versus 24 hour clocks..

Whoever came up with this:

it’s really confusing at first glance to those of us who have spent time in the military.

because 04:04 is inherently 4:04 AM. 4:04 PM is 16:04.

if you are using a 12 hour clock, fine. But leading zeros aren’t necessary and may cause confusion. If you are using a 24 hour clock, you don’t need AM or PM.
