"in before the lock" is dumb, but what it comes down to is someone posting in a thread (usually GoJet related) that they know is going to be locked by the moderators because threads of that type usually devolve into name calling, etc.

A troll is someone who posts something just to start an argument.

So what is the advantage of posting before the lock?

None. You're just patting yourself on the back for recognizing an inappropriate thread before the mods shut it down. Surprising that pilots have egos :D
