Incorrect/Extra page number display
 

I've noticed in a few threads I'll read the last post on a page and it appears there is another page number with more posts. When I click on that page number, the current page just reloads. It doesn't happen with all threads but it's not isolated either. Most recent example would be the UAL Poolies thread in the LCAL/LUAL merger section.

I've seen it as well (from day 1), especially in the DAL L+G thread - maybe it has to due with thread length/volatility?

It has to do with deleted posts. When posts are deleted they still occupy space but users can't see them.

Take a look at the more controversial or colorful threads with lots of deleted posts. There will almost always have the phenomenon you mentioned.
