500 server error when posting

Can someone help me understand what the most common reason is for receiving a 500 error when trying to start a new thread in Forums?

Thanks!

500 errors usually mean a hiccup has occurred in the servers. What device and browser are you using? What kind of a connection are you using to connect to the site?

I use GOOG Chrome on all my devices. I've had it happen with both my iMAC desktop as well as my Macbook Pro.

Is it still happening? What pages is it happening on?

Does changing browsers have any affect on the issue?

That is very strange!

I haven't been able to reproduce this just yet, so I need some more information.

What device are you using? What browser? If you switch browsers, does it still happen?

New thread issues

Am having an issue posting a new thread. When I hit submit it goes to next page which is blank. And then will not post.
Any help would be appreciated
Using an iPad mini to post.

Hi Scut,

What browser are you using? Are you in the full, mobile, or Tapatalk view of the forums?

Scut Farkus 12-15-2015 05:06 PM

Safari and full site.

Thanks.

What particular forum is this affecting?

Scut Farkus 12-16-2015 11:50 AM

Union.....
Tried on Tapatalk and a MacBook. No luck.
Maybe I am not authorized to start a new thread.

I saw this too on the careers section and was wondering if I'm just too new to start a thread?

BrandiNett 01-08-2016 08:08 AM

Tech is looking into the 500 errors when creating a new thread.

Is this happening for everyone on mobile or is anyone experiencing this when using their computer?

All on a computer for me. Mac OS X 10.11.2, both Safari 9.0.2 and Chrome 47.0.2526.

Thanks.

We're having trouble replicating the issue here, so I may need more information in a while to see if we can dig deeper into the source of the trouble.

Same issue here, can't post a new thread in Careers section. Full site using Surface Pro 3, chrome.

Sorry for the delay, but I have been trying my best these last few days to replicate this issue and still can't seem to get it to duplicate.

Does this error happen anywhere else for you, or just in the Careers section?
