FedEx hiring update
 

FedEx is hiring 46-48 pilots in September. Projecting a total of 300+ pilots hired in 2005. Forecasting 360 (30/mo) in 2006.

Most new-hire pilots are going to the 727/SO/MEM. Rapid upgrades. Most junior captain on the property is a Memphis-based 727 captain, hired May 2001.

I saw 24 interviews go through this week alone. There are 26 starting monday and around 60 starting in Oct. For those who can do it. Have your sponsor take you through the AOC and at least meet with a couple ACP and either the Central Region CP or the System CP. It makes a difference.

Anyone have any information on how long from the meeting at the AOC to a possible call for an interview. I met the system Chief in MEM in April, and still waiting and hoping. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

I just received an e-mail that several of the ACP's are no longer taking appointments for "meet and greets." There are apparently a ton of eligible pilots in the application "pool."


We interviewed another 24 this week. There are classes in Oct, Nov and Dec.
