any one know when the next air inc conference is? I have never been to one. I'm not too hip on having to pay someone to give them my resume, ya know what i mean. I just wonder if it's worth it.

the next AIR inc job fair is in LAX the weekend of September 17. They're good depending on what airline is there that you're trying to get on with.

Overpriced for sure, but what else do you expect from AIR inc?

Here's the site info for more if you don't have it www.jet-jobs.com

Well for my money I have received a call from Continental within a week of the D.C. fair and was able to make some extremely good contacts with a major cargo company and get my name mentioned with another company who's looking to put approx 60 people in class for Sept.

Its what you make of it.

Curb your ego and pay the money. There is nothing like handing your resume's to almost every hiring company. Until then you are just another sheet of paper in the pile. It can make all the diffrence.

I have to agree with SkyHigh. Pay the money. And go stay in THAT hotel one or two nights prior. If you are socialable enough you might run into (like I did) several of the hiring folks before hand. I ran into a hiring person for a companythat I wound up working for.

It's all about networking. And this is a great networking event.

On the other side of it I have to say that I get a real chuckle at the trend towards "Uniforms" when I see soooooo many guys there in blue suits and red ties. Come on guys, have some creativity. :-)

Cheers,
Walt
